FAQs

  • I do not accept insurance (there are a few reasons for this and I can explain them in our consult if you would like to know).

My rate is $150 per session and I offer a sliding scale based on financial need. My goal is to make therapy as accessible as possible while staying financially sustainable. If you need to use the sliding scale, we can talk through options during our consultation.

  • I offer relationship therapy fully online because I’ve found that online therapy actually supports couples work in meaningful ways:

You’re in your real environment. Practicing new ways of communicating while you’re at home makes it easier to carry those skills into daily life, rather than leaving them behind in an office that feels separate from the rest of your world.

Scheduling is simpler. Coordinating our calendars is much easier.

No commute. You arrive to session with less stress and more capacity to be present with each other.

Online therapy allows us to do deep relational work while making the process accessible and more naturally integrated into your home life.

  • Sessions are 75 mins instead of the 50 mins that is customary for individual therapy. Relationship therapy requires a longer time frame per session because there are more people in the room, more dynamics, more material that needs time and attention. While I have tried offering 50 min sessions, I have found that ending those sessions often feels like stopping mid-sentence — and bringing things up in session but leaving them raw and unresolved can sometimes have a negative impact. A longer session time allows us the space we need to work effectively with the sensitive material at hand.

  • I have found both weekly and every other week to be effective frequencies. We can talk more in our consult about what makes the most sense for you and your partner(s).

  • I work with clients located in Colorado, Massachusetts, and New Mexico.

  • Absolutely! While my practice centers queer relationships, I also work with many couples who do not identify as queer. What matters most is that my approach feels supportive and that we’re a good fit. I welcome clients of all identities.

  • Most couples work with me for 6–18 months, though sometimes shorter and sometimes longer. The length of therapy depends on your goals, what you're working through, and how often we meet. Some couples come in during a major transition and want focused, shorter-term work, while others are looking for deeper, long-term support. We’ll collaborate on a pacing and plan that fits your relationship and your capacity.

Two people are sitting in front of a laptop on a wooden table. The laptop screen displays a therapist smiling gently and resting her chin on her hand. Their faces are not visible, only their shoulders and heads are partially shown from behind.
